In this year our school participated in the ASB POLYFEST and we became 3rd in the overall of small schools. It was a pleasure for the school that students are very proud to represent Henderson High School in this festival. It was a great opportunity for the students to experience and learn about a different culture from the island of Niue. It took more than five weeks of preparations but all the hard work and sweat paid off with job well done from not only the students but the teachers support and especially the tutors hard work and time sacrificed to prepare the successful performance.
Rize Michau is our school headgirl. Rize is such an intelligent, smart and talented person. She started school in Year 9 and was instantly admired for her hard work and high academic performance which led to her achieving Level 1 and 2 and possibly Level 3 with an Excellence Endorsement. She is also involved in Stage Challenge and is and has been coaching the junior girls netball ever since Year 10. Rize says that she is very grateful that she has nice and smart people around her for motivation and inspiration to keep her going and love she loves the challenge. She is very grateful that she was given the title headgirl and she has played her role very well and has proven it. As a leader, Rize has put all her effort and time into looking after the school and giving all she has for her last year of education.
Justin Revington is the headboy of our school. He and Rize Michau are our head prefects. Justin is confident and sporty in which he is not afraid to speak up or shout from one side of the school to the other and not only that, he is a great basketball player. He is a smart, nice and intelligent person. He portrays his role as a headboy by leading an example for the juniors and also for his peers. Justin does not fail to impress the school with his tidiness and also his academic work. He plays his role in the school well and give all the best he can.
Sean Firman is an assistant head leader who helps Justin Revington in his job. He stands for the headboy when he is away. Sean Firman is one of the school's top student and he is very intelligent as an art student, he has proven to be one of the best at painting. He has proven to be intelligently smart within the technological world as well as in art. He has achieved both level 1 and 2 with an Excellence Endorsement. Sean says that becoming an assistant head boy was a challenge for him and he was very honoured and grateful for the given opportunity to do his best.
Drewzilla Ogotau is an assistant head leader stands for Rize Michau when she's not in school. Drewzilla is a talented, smart, intelligent and very sporty individual. Drewzilla is coaching in the junior netball team and other sports and is also participating in Stage Challenge as well as Polyfest. Drewzilla has the potential to go far in the future as her academic work has awarded her with Achieving Level 1 and 2 with a Merit Endorsement. She does her job really well in the school and she is very helpful to the students and the teachers as well. Drewzilla says, becoming an assistant head girl was the moment she has been dreaming of and it finally came true.
